Happy Unity Day of Ukraine! (22.01.2024)

Every year on January 22 Ukrainians celebrate the Day of Unity. On this day in 1919, with the proclamation of the Act of Unification of the Ukrainian and Western Ukrainian People’s Republics, a symbolic unification of Ukrainian lands in one state took place. This day became a fundamental event for Ukrainian state-building, and the Act of Unification, despite its declarativeness, entered our history as an important step towards the proclamation of Ukraine's independence in 1991.

In the Ukrainian language, "unity" means omnipresence, integrity, indivisibility. So let this solemn day strengthen us in unity and patriotism, give everyone the inspiration to work for the good of our country and the well-being of our people.
